Wholesale Walking-Shoe Program

An illustrative example of how a wholesale walking-shoe program is structured for consistency across reorders. Figures are typical ranges, not a named-client result.

Context

A wholesaler needs the same walking shoe, in the same fit and quality, shipment after shipment - with paperwork that clears customs cleanly. For a repeat program the risk is not the first order but drift: sizing that shifts half a size, finish that softens at volume, or labelling that fails a retailer's DC. This illustrative project shows how a held-spec OEM program is set up to keep container after container consistent. It is a format example, not a record of a specific named client; figures are typical capability ranges.

The challenge

  • Keep sizing identical across multiple POs and production runs
  • Maintain finish and bonding quality when output scales to container volume
  • Provide compliant labelling, barcodes and export documents the buyer's customs needs
  • Hold the comfort feel (lightweight EVA plus insole) constant as materials are re-booked each run
  • Plan production around season and Chinese New Year so delivery windows are met

Our solution

Spec lock. Locked the size grade, last and construction to a signed golden sample held as the single reference for every reorder, so nothing drifts between POs.

Material booking discipline. Re-booked the same upper, lightweight EVA and TPR outsole specs each run and verified incoming materials against the approved standard before production.

In-line + final QC. Monitored bonding, stitching and assembly in-line and inspected finished pairs to the agreed AQL (commonly 2.5 major / 4.0 minor) on every run.

Labelling & docs. Applied the wholesaler's pair and carton labels and barcodes and prepared packing lists and export documentation for the forwarder.

Reorder discipline. Reproduced each order from the same golden sample and recorded specs, with third-party inspection welcome, so shipments matched the original.

Result (illustrative)

An illustrative outcome rather than a measured client result: a held-spec OEM program of this kind is set up to deliver consistent sizing and finish across repeat container orders, with each run inspected to the agreed AQL and shipped with the documentation the buyer's forwarder and customs require. The value of the example is the repeatable system - locked spec, disciplined material booking, in-line and final QC, and complete export paperwork - that keeps a wholesale program predictable order after order.
